A good time to buy?

The recent dramatic shift in the GB pound to euro exchange rate has contributed to a slowing of the French property market. The shift in the rate from around 1.45 to 1.25 has effectively reduced the purchasing power of the pound by about 15%. In response to this shift we are seeing increasing numbers of properties with reductions in the asking price. Sellers are beginning to realise that properties could take a long time to sell in the current climate and for people in a hurry to move, dropping the price is an obvious way to generate more interest. For the buyer with a budget in pounds this could be very good news and some real bargains are now appearing.

Of course, for the eurozone buyer who has a budget in euros the position is even better with a huge choice of property at very attractive prices.
