Cotes d’Armor Property
Expensive but Popular with British Buyers
If your budget is large and your French is limited then consider buying on the Cotes d’Armor. This department is traditionally the most popular with British buyers, and is consequently the most expensive area of Brittany.
It’s capital, St Brieuc, is characterised by half timbered houses and bustling shops, while the surrounding beaches are popular with both French and British families.
The north of the department tends to be most expensive, especially in the areas surrounding the major towns. Those looking to pick up a bargain in Cotes d’Armor should therefore look at southern and central areas especially around Loudeac, where prices are cheaper and restoration projects abound.
