It’s One Big Party in France on June 21st! La Fête De La Musique
June 21st is “music day” in France. You couldn’t throw a pebble without hitting an event, concert, dance in every village and every town across the country. It doesn’t matter what your taste in music is, or if you even have one, the important thing is to get out and have a good time together. From Gounod to Gaga, there’s something for every style, and the best part… it’s free!
From the official website “Completely different from a music festival, the Fête de la Musique is above all a free popular fête, open to any participant (amateur or professional musicians) who wants to perform in it. This Music day allows the expression of all styles of music in a cheerful atmosphere. It aims at a large audience, working to popularise musical practice for young and not so young people from all social backgrounds. It gives an opportunity to communicate and share a very special moment through music.”
Call your friends, bring the kids, get out and enjoy the music!
